The Lye Brook Falls is one of the most published waterfalls in Vermont. However, I was little disappointed on it. Maybe the timing I got there was not right, the water was too timid, and fall color already pasted its peak around the falls.
Regardless, the trail to the falls worths every second and every bit of energy I spent. So at the end, I still highly recommend to check out this trail.
Direction to this trail:
- From exit 4 off VT7, go uphill on VT30/11 for 0.2 mile to East Manchester Road;
- Turn right, continue for 1.1 miles to Glen Road on your left just before the underpass;
- Follow Glen Road straight ahead for 0.4 mile to its dead end and the trailhead;
- The trail to the fall is about 2.2 miles one way.
